Dr. Painter’s little boy, Russell, is still in a precarious condition.  The chances are now in his favor, but his recovery is still a matter of doubt.

Mr. Stuart Thompson is showing rapid improvement at the hospital, and will soon be well.

Mr. Charlie Linkous, who underwent an operation in a hospital at Louisville, came home yesterday.  His condition is very much improved.

ROOM FOR RENT -----  Electric lighted, toilet and bath on same floor.  Apply to Joe Kendrick.

“Ted” Kitts was home from Quinnimont, W. Va., during the Fair.  He is foreman of the Union Supply Co., of his town, and is making good.

Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Baugh, their pretty baby boy, and Mrs. Devor, of Graham, were business visitors to the city Monday.  Their fine baby boy should have been in our big show.

Eleanor, the young daughter of Mrs. S. M. Peery, was under the surgeon’s knife here Wednesday, having had her adenoids removed by Dr. St. Clair, of Bluefield and Dr. Johnson, of Tazewell.
 
There will be services in the Episcopal church Sunday morning at 11 o’clock, Rev. Chas. W. Sydnor, pastor.
